What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
To be well informed about the nature of the profession. Many graduates think that a technical writer is the person, who writes and publishes books that we are finding in bookstores; while technical author is the person, who develops the manuals/ handbooks/ online help system of a software.
Do you have any interview tips?
- To know things about Capita in general, and pertaining the particular department of Capita that they'll be joining.
- To be prepared about the kind of assessment that they will be facing in the assessment centre (i.e. writing guidelines, proofreading)
