What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
IBM is not looking for a certain 'type' of person.
Don't be put off in thinking that it is just looking for computer programmers, this is far from the truth.
In consulting it is just as important to have interpersonal skills when working face to face with clients and management / organisation skills to balance multiple tasks and when working in a project team.
Ultimately, you need to be a hard working person which is reflected by your qualifications but your extra curricular skills or other life experiences is where you really demonstrate your capabilities.
