What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Be pro-active, self-confident and show yourself eager to learn. A commitment to a career in law and an understanding of what it entails is very useful. Really research the firm, know its position in the market and what its strengths/weaknesses are. Explain why the firms strengths match your own strengths/interests.
Do you have any interview tips?
Be yourself and be prepared to talk about your life outside law - interviewers want to see whether they'd get on with you on a personal level as much as they want to see someone who is talented and committed to law. Have convincing answers to the key questions (e.g. why law? why this firm?) and practice them before the interview.
