What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Be yourself, explain why do you truly want to be in this role. Show your interest and your willingness to learn. You don't have to insist too much on what you know and how good you are, use your past to show how you've evolved and how you've learned from mistakes.
Use examples from your past experience, even though you think they are not significant, this will actually show them a lot of things about yourself.
