What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Make sure that you visit a Majestic store first before your interview to get a feel for what the company is all about. You don't have to be a Wine expert, but what the recruitment team really like and look for is; an individual with a drive to succeed and a willingness to progress, as well as having a fun and bubbly personailty that you need to get you through the long days.
Please note that you are sponsored on to a Wine course, so you have to be willing to learn and study in your own time as well as training for your management position.

Do you have any interview tips?

You are asked to sell the interviewer a bottle of wine. They are not looking for Wine knowledge in this task, they are looking at your ability to sell, therefore include things such as, add sales, the free glass hire we supply, the free chiller bin hire, the free delivery and also sale of return and so on. Think outside the box.
