What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Be clear about your interests and why the firm specifically interests you. Clyde & Co is very different from other law firms and you should show a clear interest in its core sectors which determine its outlook and approach. The firm is extremely commercially minded and a clear awareness that being a successful lawyer means understanding the markets within which you operate is crucial.
Do you have any interview tips?
Be very clear about why the firm interests you and why you are personally suited to working in this type of commercial firm.
Be aware of relevant issues, not only in the legal press but whichever sector interests you (insurance, shipping, etc).
Be prepared to think on your feet and defend your position when it comes to partner interviews.
