What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

You really know need demonstrate your genuine interest and commitment to working at Linklaters. In particular, you need to show that you know about the commercial environment the firm and its clients operate in so make sure you keep up to date with current affairs. If you read nothing else, read the Lex column on the FT website each day - will give you a starting point to develop your thoughts / interpretations of recent events.

Do you have any interview tips?

When I applied (2010) there was a verbal reasoning test followed by a general interview with a Managing Associate and Partner and then you had 30 minutes to read a case study and present your analysis on it to a partner. I would recommend attending some open days (either at the firm or at other firms) because they often include similar activities so you will know the kind of things you should discuss.
