What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Research the company thoroughly, look into its values, its working environment, the type of work it carries out and the client it carries it out for. Then think about the type of firm you wish to work for and see if the two marry up. A training contract application is not just about a firm choosing its trainees, but also a future trainee selecting the right firm. In order to make the most of the training contract, you want both.

Prepare thoroughly, be able to answer competency questions and research the firm well. Know your application and CV inside out but most importantly try to relax once you are in the interview.
