What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Show a genuine commitment to this lifestyle and this type of work. Set yourself apart by presenting anything that makes you different and can be shown to be relevant to the Firm. Fit any skills you have into the working of the Firm to show that you have read marketing material and are aware of the Firm's objectives and ethos. Probably not worth applying unless you are on track for a 2:1 or 1st. The University you study at is less relevant than you might think, though a large proportion of the cohort is still Oxbridge. Due to the international nature of the firm, languages are particularly prized and grants are given to further your fluency.
Commercial awareness is understanding how the business world all works practically together in unison (e.g. how falling oil prices have a knock on effect etc.) and how it will impact clients.
Do you have any interview tips?
Confidence but never arrogance, no need present a false version of yourself as the grad recruitment team will see through it instantly. Study body language techniques to make your presence memorable. Dress code is business smart, there is no need for flamboyances.
