What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Take your application and interview seriously, be friendly and polite, and if you can, try to show your confidence. My position requires a lot of teamwork, try to identify when you have worked as part of a team (sports, university modules, competitions, committees) . Simple things also matter, make sure your CV and cover letter are written correctly, checked, and re-checked. Make sure you sound professional.

Do you have any interview tips?

First of all, when you go to interview, think about whether the employer could send you to a meeting with a new client. Look smart and sound professional.

Teamwork was emphasised at the interview where nine of us were split into teams to create a business strategy to tackle a changing environment in the future. At work it is not about what 'I' do, its more about what 'we' achieve, so make sure you are a team player. If you are asked a question you don't know the answer to, stay calm and be honest. Explain that you have no experience in that area, but try to show how you would approach it and learn the skills. Don't try to pretend you know!
