What are the Best and Worst things about your job?
Best
I am actively involved in current projects and feel like a valued team member to my department. I am given challenging tasks that develop my problem solving abilities.
Worst
Advanced technical work such as site investigations and advanced structural design (e.g pilling foundations) are usually outsourced to consultants due to time shortages. Junior staff are therefore not able to look over/ provide input to said designs.
What is the annual salary for this role?
Starting salary: £17,000 - £19,000
Current salary: £17,000 - £19,000
What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Try to develop a strong understanding of software such as AutoCad and excel.
Do you have any interview tips?
I was asked to give a presentation on why I chose my course and what interested me the most to apply for the position. After my presentation, I was then asked if I had any questions about the company and any current developments the company is working on.
