What are the Best and Worst things about your job?
The people, working environment, opportunities and learning and development support.
Process heavy which is true for the insurance industry as a whole. Not very technology driven.
What is the annual salary for this role?
Starting salary: £29,000 - £31,000
Current salary: £33,000 - £35,000
What hours do you actually work, on average?
What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Consider if you definitely want to be an underwriter first or whether you want to experience the wider business. The underwriting scheme is great if you want to be technical from day one but gives less exposure to the wider business and network. The rotational scheme gives you a better exposure to business leaders but makes you a jack of all trades.
