What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Do your research; this is always key, it helps you to suit your application towards the company and what you can bring to the table.
Along with your application you may be asked to include a CV of relevant experience; in this include a brief overview about yourself and what interested you in the company. Always be concise but try to stand out - alongside your experience build on why this experience is relevant to the role in a sentence or two.
Arcadis is a global company, diverse in race, ethnicity, culture and beliefs; with all aligned to set values and visions of integrity, excellence, collaboration and sustainability. It is full of opportunities to progress in your career: have an idea of where you want to be in ten years time, whether that's chartered, a partner, or even specialised in a certain field.

Do you have any interview tips?

The interview normally comes in the form of an assessment day. It is here you get the opportunity to view the office, gain a better understanding of Arcadis and meet other interviewees and the interviewers. Make sure you introduce yourself to people, be confident in making conversation with others and bring lots of ideas to the table in the group task - just don't confuse confidence with arrogance, and make sure you listen as well as communicate.
Be honest, open and forthcoming with your answers.
What makes you as an individual better for the company than someone else with exactly the same qualifications and skills as yourself.
Practise interview questions and interview scenarios with friends and family and ask them to throw in a couple of random questions you haven't prepared for to see how you answer on the spot.
Take your time, breathe, and don't rush into any answers.
Do your research; this is key.
Have a couple of questions prepared to ask your interviewer/Arcadis yourself; it shows interest and enthusiasm towards the company.
You're applying for an apprenticeship role, they understand you may not/won't have years of experience in the industry nor years of experience working - but what you do have is personal life experience, how can these life skills apply towards your role? I.e. organisation, timekeeping, communication.
