What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

The best part of the role is being part of a large team and company as this makes a huge difference to when you first start and meet new people.

Other positives about the role would be training alongside the degree. I will be gaining valuable experience and a vocational award which will be highly demanded within the industry.

Included in my programme is being put through the process to become a charted surveyor of the Royal Institute of Charted Surveyors.

The clients that I work with are also benefits of the job, to tell others that I work with such well known organisations gives me great satisfaction.

Worst

In my opinion this is not a negative side of the role, as when I applied I was willing to accept this as I knew it would be worth it in the long run. However, for some individuals losing their weekends and evenings to study may be seen as a negative side of the role initially.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £13,000 - £15,000

Current salary: £13,000 - £15,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Researching the company, it's values and the role that you are applying for is very important for this stage. This gives us an indication of what you are applying for and how you can narrow your research.

Complete this accurately and in a timely manner, as this gives the best first impression.

Do you have any interview tips?

To be yourself and to take your time. It is a daunting prospect going through an interview process, but this is your time to shine. Therefore taking your time to think through your answers is vital.
Dressing appropriately is another area to take into account, as this is a business I felt it was important to reflect with how I presented myself on the day.

Further to researching the company from the initial stage of the application process, it is essential to get up-to date information on the company and global awareness.
