What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

None to mention at this time.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £25,000 - £27,000

Current salary: £25,000 - £27,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Be honest about your previous experience. When it comes to software development, soft skills are very important, so do not be afraid to highlight this aspects of your past work history.
We all start somewhere, and personally my coding experience was not very vast before starting the apprenticeship.

Make sure to show that you are passionate about programming and give good reasons as to why you feel your past experiences may benefit the company.
Also make sure to mention what kind of things interest you in the tech industry. It's important to show you have interest in the role your applying for!

Do you have any interview tips?

The interview was much less formal than interviews I have had in previous roles. (I used to work in Social Work). The interviews were quite relaxed and this helped me feel more comfortable answering questions.

My advice would be, to make sure you talk about why you're interested in programming, highlight areas you are interested in. Make sure to mention any experience of soft skills you have, and also accept that you may not all the lingo associated with programming.

Also, ask a lot of questions, it's always good to get a good understanding of the company you're applying to and what its ethos is.
