Best

Gaining exposure to the business context and strategy. Many employees don't have oversight over the details and decisions that you do.

Being able to help others at work and seeing the (hopefully) positive outcome.

Building key stakeholder relationships.

Worst

The operational work that you have to carry out to begin with can be boring and mundane. However, they are important to ensure that the HR function runs smoothly and effectively.

It can be repetitive.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £21,000 - £23,000

Current salary: £33,000 - £35,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Have a thorough understanding of what the function actually does and the different areas of the job.

Try and get some work experience within the field before applying to a job as many companies require you to have work experience within HR.

If you don't have work experience, try and apply other experiences to HR and how this would help you succeed in the job.

Don't just say that you are interested in people. This is the most generic answer when applying for HR roles.
