What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

My colleagues
The training I receive.
The backing of my managers.
Job security.

Worst

Lots of driving.
Being referred to as an 'apprentice' multiple times a day/week and feeling that I could be of more use to the company.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: I'd rather not say

Current salary: I'd rather not say

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Ask as many questions as possible. I felt a lot of information about the job was lacking and for some people coming from an existing job it may not always be the right move. HR could have been a lot more forthcoming with information about roles and the difference between a jointer/fitter/linesman etc considering the lengthy application. I'd say they need to get to know their candidates as much you need to know about your new job. Mainly to see if it is a good fit.
Ask about where you are working, what hours you'll be working and consider that you'll be required to do a lot of driving in your own vehicle.

Do you have any interview tips?

Be prepared for a long day but know that it will go quickly. Research the company as best you can and have an idea of the job role you are applying for. This will go down well with the interviewers. All of the staff are friendly, welcoming and have all been in your position. If you are prepared this is a straightforward day were you get to meet your potential colleagues and your managers, trainers etc.
