What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Make sure you are aware of what the whole role entails, i.e. a lot of travelling and a lot of exams. Not only is this important for knowing that its the right job for yourself, but its also important to show that you know what the role involves when you are applying as it can be quite challenging and not everyone realises it when they apply.
Do you have any interview tips?
Make an extra effort to really understand the company and their specific focus, and any events that they have going on. A good and very easy way to do this is by following them on twitter as all firm news is posted there. Grant Thornton really look at you as a person and want you to fit into the firms culture which is why the people at the firm make it so good, because they are all similar, so be yourself and emphasise your skills and experiences. It doesn't matter if you have no relevant experience, as long as you fit with the firms culture and values and are up for a challenge you will be fine.
