What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Just ensure you have researched the company and know your reasons for applying. If you are required to do psychometric tests, practice in advance.
Do you have any interview tips?
The interview was designed to assess the JLR high performance behaviours, know what these are in advance. I had to complete a group exercise, in-tray exercise and a one to one interview. For the group exercise, read your brief and try to make a well justified contribution to the discussion, but don't forget to listen to others!
The in-tray was just a series of emails that I had to read and decide their priority, who I might need to include in communications and so on, as you would expect.
In the interview I would say that silence is not a bad thing. Answer the questions as fully as is required and then be quiet. Try not to waffle and pad out the gaps while the assessor might be making notes.
