What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Be very careful when choosing a department. They are very different from each other even if you go for the same area (e.g. Manufacturing, Commercial Engineering) and the skills you utilise and develop on a daily basis differ drastically between roles.
Do as much research about the company as possible. Think about what you would be expecting from a graduate you are hiring (refer to the JLR values).

Do you have any interview tips?

Again, do as much research about the company as possible. Try to answer all your questions by referring back to JLR values and achievements.
For the group exercise (if applicable), try to add value to the group and do not under any circumstances see it as a competition. Be assertive, not aggressive, try to keep track of time and to ask the opinions of colleagues who do not actively participate in the discussion.
