What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

At this level a larger emphasis is placed on communication and project management skills than on specific buying knowledge, though the latter is of course useful. "Soft skills" such as relationship management and problem resolution are key, and "hard skills" such as data manipulation are secondary.
Candidates will benefit from having some knowledge or understanding of how automotive procurement differs from that of other industries, e.g. agricultural.

Do you have any interview tips?

At a graduate entry level, my interview was split between the tests, a basic case study and an one-to-one discussion.

The case study went along the lines of reading a business paper and deciding which of three options to take. No right or wrong answer, just how you got to it. The interview was largely around motivation and personality, though it did verge on basic technical questions. I had zero commercial or business experience at the time, so it was clearly not very difficult.

There will be a numerical, verbal and logical (pattern recognition) test, and these could block you from the job, so make sure to practice them online (there are plenty of resources). I don't remember them being difficult, but I know that some people have failed them.
