What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Applying for this role you do not need to demonstrate what you already know about individual commodities but that you have the skills to analyse markets in general. The role is a mix of economics, writing and personal skills in talking to clients and market participants so a CV which is well-rounded is ideal.

Do you have any interview tips?

As CRU is a medium-sized company the interview process is very personal and to the point. Questions asked at the interview stage are unlikely to surprise you so know yourself and your degree - especially if from an economics or engineering background - very well.
