What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Do not follow stereotypes and think that a job in analysis is for "geeks" or introverts. An increasingly important part of our daily tasks include engaging with the market: in this respect, your application should provide strong evidence of effective communication skills.

Do you have any interview tips?

Make sure you have an idea of how to forecast the price of a commodity. You do not need to know the details of complex econometric models, but you should be able to sustain a discussion on the factors affecting commodity markets. Your interviewer will be looking for the ability to critically analyse trends, and explain them in a clear and succinct manner. After all that's what the job is all about!
