What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

As a trainee, my role is incredibly varied and no two days are the same. This is great because I am constantly learning and pushing myself to improve daily. I work with the most fantastic people who make my job really enjoyable, and I ultimately love what I do and feel like I am making a difference. Willmott Dixon have a strong ethos and core values and it is great to be part of the team.

Worst

I am one year into my career at Willmott Dixon and I can honestly say I love it and there is no part of my role that I don't enjoy. There is an emphasis on working from home if you can currently due to the pandemic, and this can be challenging when learning new skills in new departments, but as long as you have the drive and initiative, it's doable, albeit difficult at times.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £25,000 - £27,000

Current salary: £29,000 - £31,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Do your research - make sure you know about the company, their core values and ethos and the area of the business you are applying for.

Do you have any interview tips?

Be yourself! If you've made it to the interview then you've shown you have the capability of working within the industry - this next step is finding out who you are as a person, your mind-set and your goals. All of my colleagues are genuinely nice, kind and ambitious people and the interview is to check you'll be a good fit to the team.
