What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

You are thrown in at the deep end and really challenged. You are encouraged to lead from projects to meetings and really put yourself out there. However, throughout this, you are given lots of support from your line manager, your teams, the HR team and your fellow graduates.

Worst

Sometimes graduates are given to colleagues as a line managing, development opportunity. This is great if that manager is really interested in this responsibility, however, it can be difficult if they are not. It is particularly difficult if this happens in the first placement as it can result in a lack of support. It also could result in it being more about developing the colleague than the graduate (which is also important however as this is a development programme it should not be done at the expense of the graduate's development). It is important to note that this is incredibly rare, I have been fortunate to have amazing line managers in both placements who have really pushed me and help me develop.

Think about why you would like to work for Heathrow and why it would be a good fit for you.
The application is largely situational so I would focus on putting yourself in the shoes of the people who work there. You are not expected to know anything about the airport or have specialist knowledge, it is your thought process that the company are interested in.
