What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Be positive and passionate, JLR as a company seek to employ the best people for any given role, but specific function related experience is not always necessary to shine as a candidate, particularly for graduates applying outside engineering.
A degree in a relevant subject area is not necessary for most roles.
When applying, focus on personal attributes and learnign experiences that will be applicable to your role, but also those that make you a more rounded, sought after employee.
Do you have any interview tips?
Having only experienced graduate recruitment at JLR, I would also recommend revising general interview techniques, particularly group and 1:1 interviews, as your ability to listen and be pragmatic in interview situations, particularly with how your experiences apply to any given question, is essential to success.
Enjoy yourself and relax, you are not competing directly against anyone else in the room, such is the number of graduates JLR employs each year.
