What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

Day to day challenges of working on 3D models and finding the best workarounds to complete the task to be the most representative and understanding the consequences of the decisions made. Working with senior members of staff with open discussions and allowing us to challenge each other openly without feeling scared to do so.

Worst

With every piece of design work comes a write up. Keeping everything up to date throughout so the write up is easier is the worst part, and the write up of course.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £27,000 - £29,000

Current salary: £27,000 - £29,000

What hours do you actually work, on average?

Start: 09:15

Finish: 17:45

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Answer everything honestly and show where your interest comes from and what you want to do with it. Find something they might see as unique.

Do you have any interview tips?

Don't worry too much about it. The technical section is more geared to see how you think than expecting you to know every answer, so hours of revision isn't necessary. Just put on your engineering cap and answer the technical questions logically. For the rest of the interview, answer the questions as you see fit. It helps to have gone through the guide and bullet point some ideas for the questions. These won't be the exact ones but thinking about 'moments you have gone out of your comfort zone' etc will help you formulate answers on the day and will hopefully prevent you using the same stories/examples repeatedly.
