What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Be enthusiastic! You can be the smartest person in the world but the atmosphere at Motts is focussed much more on people enjoying their jobs and succeeding through that passion. It sounds clichéd but its true, genuine enthusiasm is just as valuable as qualifications in terms of who Motts want to employ and want to be working with every day.
Do you have any interview tips?
Be as genuine and unscripted as you can (but know your stuff). For me, the interview, despite asking technical and experience based questions, seemed to be looking just as much at 'will this person fit into our team?' and 'does this person have a genuine interest in engineering?'. Asking questions back and having a rapport with the interviewer will help a great deal.
