What are the Best and Worst things about your job?
Best
I get to be part of the design of infrastructure and flood management, where I can point to a construction project and say I helped with that. Also talking to people world wide to get advice and be social with. The "Pet Therapy" group where people regularly post pictures of their pets is always a positive.

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Be honest and yourself. Answer the application questions with details about your social life and hobbies/sports that you might have, everyone has the qualifications but not everyone has the additions outside of the working life.
Do you have any interview tips?
The interview is more of a chat to check that you can talk your way through a problem, even if you don't know the answer, it's how you explain your process to get there, including asking for help from potential colleagues. The interviews aim to focus on strengths not knowledge. Talk your time and talk socially. The interviewers are looking for people they can spend all day everyday with, not jsut someone who will get on with work.
