What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
I found it extremely useful to discuss my previous experience in manufacturing when applying for this role. As part of my degree I did a 1 year industrial placement with an automotive manufacturer. This experience helped to structure my answers at the assessment day with relevant examples and it also helped with my understanding of the questions / tasks I was set.
Do you have any interview tips?
Always back up questions you are asked in the interview with examples so elaborate on your capabilities. I used a range of experiences from my manufacturing placement and also my other interests and hobbies. For example I was captain of the university rugby team so I used examples of my leadership and team working skills from this experience.
