What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

I applied through a graduate recruitment company, only my CV was required. Primary focus of that was on my Computer Science degree at University - highlighting the skills I learnt there and how they would be applicable to my career such as organisation and technical ability.

Do you have any interview tips?

Two-stage process: first a programming exercise at home that asks you to write code to fulfill the needs of a particular scenario paying close attention to ensuring that all cases are considered correctly and that code complexity is appropriate - not writing an O(n^2) algorithm if it can be done in O(n) for example.
If successful you then take a slightly longer but in the same style programming exercise at their offices followed by a face-to-face interview if you achieve the required pass mark.
The interview is relaxed yet formal and most of my interview was focused upon my final year project at University describing how it worked, what research I had to do, how I overcame difficulties etc. I brought printed screenshots of my program and of the work behind it which helped immensely.
