What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

The firm really looks after you- the benefits are great (e.g. healthcare and pension contributions) and opportunities for training etc. alongside a flexible work-life balance.
Within 3 months I was seconded out to the client side which has opened up a world of opportunities and given me the experience I wouldn't have received otherwise.

Worst

Team politics is a bit difficult. Can miss out on training if you are not part of the correct/exact team and being resourced onto projects becomes a fragile thing depending on your team, regardless of skill set.
This can sometimes mean teams are snowed under and another team are light of work, even when people have the skills to help with the workload.

Current salary: £27,000 - £29,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Show all relevant experience and highlight key strengths. Variety of skills is always a winner.
Your CV needs to be minimalistic, bullet points rather than paragraphs etc.

Do you have any interview tips?

Manners get you a long way for one.
Confidence is key, however, no one likes a cocky applicant!

Asked questions from a set list of interview questions, mostly competency questions however they are impressed with company knowledge and commercial awareness.
Knowledge of the company really shows interest in working for them, however, they want more than reciting the website, worth doing a bit of digging to find out some clients or work they've been involved in and importantly the company values. What is important to them?
