What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

Meaningful work
Variety in the work
Supportive colleagues
Community feeling
Flexibility in working patterns
Learning opportunities
Pay

Worst

Lots of change can make it harder to feel grounded
Can involve long driving times (although I don't mind it - just plug in a podcast!)
Management can feel distant (especially in the beginning) to what you may expect on a graduate scheme, but you get used to it and it develops your autonomy

What is the annual salary for this role?

Current salary: £29,000 - £31,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Apply to job if you are looking for autonomy in your work, if you enjoy a changing work pattern/environment and want to specialise in the water industry.

Be yourself! Let your personality come through in the applications you make, at the end of the day AW is looking for a people person.

Do you have any interview tips?

Again, simple but be yourself. Let your personality shine through, relax and show off your interpersonal skills as AW are looking for a people person. That doesn't mean you have to be super loud if you are usually a quiet person, as long as you can connect with people. Questions I was asked included: Who would you be if you were a superhero character? What do you like doing in your spare time? Would you rather manage people or a process?
