What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

Spending time in an office for 6 months at a time enables a vast range of contacts to be acquired through the 2 year scheme. Rotating through departments is an invaluable experience, which many in the company are envious of. Having an insight into the way all departments work is such an advantage when it comes to a permanent position after the Graduate scheme.

Worst

It can often be difficult having to move every 6 months. Although it is part of the Graduate job description, there is very little guidance or assistance from the company in helping facilitate this move. Graduates have been known to move from Edinburgh to London, and haven't been allowed time out of the office to view properties or to spend time physically moving etc.

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Do you have any interview tips?

Assessment days are often hard to prepare for, so just be yourself.

The final interviews require preparation. Researching the company is key, but perhaps more importantly learning about the industry and the economic environment in which it operates will be most important. Be sure to have some strong questions ready, but which are based around the company, not the role.
