What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Everyone who is applying for an engineering job will have an engineering (or other science) degree. Use the application stage as an opportunity to express you other experiences and skills.
Do you have any interview tips?
The interview day can be rather daunting, especially if you have to travel in the morning. As it usually takes place in a hotel, get a room for the night before. It will reduce your stress the next day.
During the day you and 10 other potentials will go through a series of tasks. JLR keep hiring until the total places are full, there is no limit or quota to each interview day. This means that you are not in competition with the other people around and can therefore concentrate on presenting your true attitude and opinions without marking yourself against others.
