What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

I like the people I work with
I like that I can work from home whenever I want mostly
It can be rewarding to help a member and get good feedback
I've learned a lot about the industry thanks to training with my team members.

Worst

The job is mostly very repetitive.
My senior manager is not good at motivating people.
I get paid what essentially amounts to minimum wage (as of 6th April 2025), for a job that requires much more ability and knowledge than that pay scale.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £21,000 - £23,000

Current salary: £21,000 - £23,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Demonstrate that you're competent at maths.

Show that you can write well.

Don't try and pretend that you understand DB pensions in cover letter just because you've googled a few industry terms. If you're a graduate you almost certainly don't.

Do you have any interview tips?

Ask questions of the interviewers, and try to remember their names if possible.

Look up some news stories about pensions that you can talk about (pensions dashboard is almost certainly the best one to go for).
