What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

Eventually placing a candidate, getting the results that you wanted, it's not about the commission, it's about the person you placed and how it makes them feel once you have secured them the position. It's rewarding to catch up with candidates and see how well they are doing and knowing you are the reason for their success. Also, building relationships with candidates and clients.

Worst

Maybe when candidates go through the offer process and decline.
This happens everywhere, recruitment is very hit and miss but it's about being resilient. Obviously it's very unfortunate when things don't go well for your candidate in the interview process too.

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Make sure you know what you are getting into before you apply, some people may think recruitment is all fun and games. Yes we have this 'work hard, play hard' atmosphere and working at Pro is full of perks, but you will still be expected to perform to the highest of your abilities. We have had many people 'jump' into recruitment just for the sake of having a job and earning some money. Do not do this, ensure you know what is going to be expected of you and decide if this is something which is doable.
