What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Don't just focus on your course but also extra curricular activities as British Sugar hire well rounded individuals.
Understand that the operations schemes start with 6 months of shift. The shift manager scheme continues shift for a number of years. This means that weekends off are few and far between.
Do you have any interview tips?
Have a range of topics/scenarios in mind that you would like to talk about when asked the standard 'where have you displayed this certain characteristic..' questions but don't learn set answers. This means that you can adapt to the exact question being asked and it comes across a lot more natural.
