What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Definitely do practice questions for the psychometric tests, even if you have to pay for them. From what I remember JLR do a maths and a language test, as well as a situational judgement test.

The situational judgement one and the language one, you need a couple of practices to get into the right mindset.
The maths one is mainly percentages, which you will get faster at with a couple of practice tests.

Do you have any interview tips?

The one thing that stood out with JLR was that they didn't assess your technical knowledge at the assessment centre, they focus more on your interpersonal skills. This can be quite hard to prepare for, but I would suggest looking at assessment centre guidance online. All of the companies tend to structure their assessment centres in a similar format, which helps when it comes to researching them. I would also recommend general research, like listening to a couple of relevant TED talks, either on the automotive industry, or talks that focus on life skills, like confidence/body language, etc, I found these extremely useful for interviews and assessment centres.

You will need to do extensive background research into the current status of the automotive industry and where JLR stand within this. You also need to prepare a lot of 'Tell me about a time when...' answers. You can find loads of these questions online. Try and have about ten different examples that you know really well, and try and vary them in terms of work/sport/uni/extra-curicular etc, its good to show variety.
