What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

The collaborative working environment at Amex is very important so during the application process and especially during interviews and assessment centres, applicants need to be genuine, friendly and demonstrate the ability to work with others. Alongside relevant skills, competencies and qualifications, being personable and co-operative is a necessity to succeed at American Express.

Do you have any interview tips?

Know the products - I was asked to present on a previously un-seen business challenge at the assessment centre which turned out to be a discontinued product that I had researched. As such I was able to go above and beyond in that particular challenge.

Be positive and personable - once you've made it to the interview, being friendly and positive is just as important as being knowledgeable and qualified.
