Wide range of opportunities.
Freedom to manage your placements and time.
Freedom to explore.
Company Credit Card makes life easier.
Free train travel for the train operating company you are based at.
Very supportive people within HR.
A lot of training offered.
Knowledge in the field is not expected, only willingness to learn and apply what has been learned.
Not much stress (depended on placement).
Very flexible company, they listen to you and care about you!
Worst
You will deal with many people and not everyone is nice or helpful. Sometimes getting a placement is difficult.
Lack of knowledge in the rail industry can make some people think you are not very smart.
The lack of diversity in the rail industry is noticeable, however, FirstGroup is trying to change this.
