What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Read the job description and invitation email. It may sound obvious, but if they ask for a cover letter then provide it. This enables you to go into more detail about why would first of all want the role, what you can bring to the role and most importantly why you are right for the role.

Read the job description and research any aspects mentioned. From the feedback I received after the interview, they liked I had researched the role and surrounding areas and I had questions about what the role would entail, projects I would be involved in, skills and software I would be using.
