What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Colleagues, friendly clients, challenging work

Worst

inconsistent workflow - due to most clients having year ends/VAT quarters in March, we will have really busy months & then really quiet months which can be nice it have a break, but more recently the gap between workloads has icnreased

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £15,000 - £17,000

Current salary: £31,000 - £33,000

Start: 08:30

Finish: 17:00

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

The minimum requirements are only 5 GCSE passes & 2 A-levels or A-Level equivalents, however you'll be applying against people who have far surpassed this minimum requirement. Therefore, on your CV/personal statement, after your grades, I would recommend writing about extra circular activities, work experience, or volunteering opportunities you've done and the skills you've learnt and/or shown through this.

Do you have any interview tips?

As an entry-level trainee, going into your AAT or ACA, they mostly wanted to see that you are a person with hobbies & interests, and that you are hardworking and dedicated to the role.
