What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Do some research on how to make your CV attractive and concise - most universities offer services for this, or just google it.
If there's a coding test (i.e. for a developer) don't worry about optimising unless it says explicitly in the question. You might end up fiddling with a working solution so much that it no longer works (this happened to me - it didn't even compile in the end! I walked them through my thinking though when asked about it).
Do you have any interview tips?
Don't try to blag anything in the interview, be honest if there's something you don't know. No one can know everything.
One of my answers to a situational question was literally "Well I'd probably just google how to do that" followed by what I'd look for and how I'd proceed after that - in a workplace environment you should use all the resources at your disposal.
Also ask them questions about details, even if you already know the details. People like talking about what they do, especially in the technology industry where people are often very passionate about it.
