What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

The software development is interesting and challenging. I started the job with next to no coding experience and have learned a massive amount in the 6 months I've worked here.

Because the software is medical, it feels good knowing that the work you do every day is making a genuine impact on people's lives.

Worst

It can get quite stressful sometimes having to learn so many new things in a short period of time.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £39,000 - £41,000

Current salary: £39,000 - £41,000

What hours do you actually work, on average?

Start: 08:30

Finish: 17:15

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Be sure to show off any examples of problem-solving or logical thinking you have done in the past, as those are the skills that are so heavily sought after.

Don't stress too much about any lack of experience you may have; no previous knowledge is expected of you when you start. You'll be taught everything you need to know when you need to know it, so as long as you're a quick learner you'll be fine.

Do you have any interview tips?

The interviews are a bit more informal than what you may be used to. You'll likely be asked a couple of logic puzzles to see how you solve problems. The interviewers will be more interested in seeing how you work through a problem than actually getting a correct answer, so be sure to explain your process, and don't stress or freeze up if you can't get to the answer.
