Starting salary: £27,000 - £29,000
Current salary: £33,000 - £35,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Demonstrate to be passionate about structures, mention your technical skills to be further discussed during the interview.
Computer skills are also essential, so practice with standard industry software (MM mainly uses Autodesk Robot).
A good looking CV, cover letter with referees and a brief well-organised portfolio of the projects you worked on during your summer placements of University projects would be beneficial for your application.
Do you have any interview tips?
Behave professionally, suit and tie, arrive early and relax.
You will not be asked to be a super skilled engineer as the interviewer is aware that you'll need time to learn the job. Attitude and basic knowledge is evaluated.
Talk concisely and to the point, allow the interviewer to ask questions without interrupting, be prepared to answer easy technical questions (practice on frames and basic design questions e.g. concrete stress block).
