What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?
Take the time to complete the application and don't under-sell yourself. Linklaters is one of the few firms I've heard of that actually reviews each and every application form - they are after all-rounders, not just those with high marks! So, there's no mark-culling before they review. It is therefore worth taking the time to complete the application.
Do you have any interview tips?
Be commercially aware. They aren't just after smart people, they want people that know what is going on in the world - particularly in the corporate sphere (it impacts our clients). Read newspapers, read the Economist etc. because you'll likely get a question which not only tests your legal knowledge but also your commercial awareness.
