1. The Best and Worst things about working for Fujitsu

CSR events and networking opportunities – they are interested in giving their grads as much exposure to key people in the company as possible. The regular pay rises also keep you motivated! You are expected to rotate your role approximately every 6 months and although your manager will try to find you something suitable, you usually end up facilitating this yourself. This is difficult especially in the first year when you don’t have many contacts or and when the really good opportunities rely on new business (that they might not win).

Real responsibility early on. Interesting and complex systems. Great opportunity to move around within the business. Friendly people. Can be quite bureaucratic and process driven. A vast number of acronyms.

You are given responsibility from day 1 but in a really supportive environment. The people are great, really willing to help you learn and just a lovely bunch. The Graduate Scheme training and support is phenomenal – couldn’t ask for better. Few opportunities for international travel.

Application Advice: We’re big on “continuous improvement” so think of examples where you’ve raised and owned an improvement to current processes.
Interview Advice: If you are given materials for a presentation use all of them – even if you think they seem unnecessary/waste of time (e.g. I was complimented on using all the different coloured pens). They want to see what you’ll do with what you’ve got.
