1. The Best and Worst things about working for 3 Monkeys

Best: 3 Monkeys have put together a fine calibre of staff who work together really well. The best parts of my job are the constant exposure to senior level staff, the high energy and pressure of managing the New Business pipeline.
Worst: New business sometimes come thick and fast and deadlines can either be forgiving or punishing, but go in with an open mind and thick skin and it will ultimately be rewarding. Your learning curve will be practically vertical if you listen carefully and work to their strengths, not just your own.

Best: 3 Monkeys provide a structured and clearly mapped-out route for progression, great training opportunities, great brands and a fun team environment.
Worst: As an industry, PR is often unpredictable, and last minute client requests can mean that the occasional late finish is required.

Best: One of the best parts about 3 Monkeys is the company culture – there is an extremely inclusive atmosphere and I have felt supported on every task and project I have worked on. It is clear to see that people love working here, so they all want to do their best for their clients and the company. It’s very infectious! Teamwork is an essential part of each project, and the regular team meetings are brilliant for providing mutual support. The range of work I am doing is great. There are so many interesting issues involved and I feel like I have learnt a great deal already as the jobs involve elements of PR, issues and crisis management, as well as consultancy to assist clients in campaigns.
Worst: There have not yet been any ‘worst’ moments – the job is demanding, but by learning to prioritise work loads (and with the support of the different teams) I have never felt on my own with any tasks and feel as though I know who to turn to if there were any issues.

Research as much as you can to understand the agency and what it’s goals are. You should try and build a sense of what they could be looking for in a candidate which is beyond the norm.

Application Advice: Everyone here is so passionate about the clients and the company they represent and this shows in the great ideas they have. All opinions are equal here. People who voice their ideas and are not afraid to get stuck in would do well here.
Interview Advice: Straightforward answers about why you would be ideal for the role are always appreciated. Acknowledge your strengths and weaknesses – you can’t be good at everything, and 3 Monkeys is a great place to nurture the skills you already have as well as learn new ones. Experience is valuable, but having a spark, showing your enthusiasm to get involved and showing you are capable of great ideas is important too.
