What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

-the opportunity to network and meet lots of people within the industry.
- No day is the same
- the opportunity to progress within your career

Worst

- The numbers, I struggle with numbers. And we use a lot of excel which involves a lot of numbers, Excel was something I didn't really use before starting at Bakkavor. I really struggled with it but then Bakkavor organised some training for me and now I am a lot more confident using it.

Do you have any interview tips?

Just be yourself, before I started in procurement I had no idea what it was, I had a brief idea due to some family friends being in the industry but that was it . No one expects you to be a Wizz at it. Prior to my interview I did do some research on procurement so I had some so I could develop my knowledge, I just looked at what procurement is, types of skills and behaviours you need, day to day tasks etc.

Questions I was asked that I can remember:
- Why do you want to work for the company?
- why did you chose procurement?
- what was a hard situation that you had to face and what did you do to overcome it?
